Stock charts that make sense

How many of you have gone to parties where friends give you stock tips. Before you make your decision, you try and chart that stock for the last 1 year - look at the up and downs, trying to figure out what happened on a certain day. Toggling between Headlines and Charts, trying to corelate the news to its effects. If all else fails you try Googling for that information.
